How to charge the battery first time?
Due to regulatory requirements for certain regions, your battery may ship with less than 100% charge on it.
Sometimes the batteries may arrive after being in transit for days/ weeks in less than ideal conditions. Although the batteries are designed to handle these situations the end-user would need to ensure that the battery is properly charged the first time after delivery.
Once you receive a new battery:
- Keep your battery (off the bike) in a safe place at room temperature for 1-2 hours.
- Plug the charger to the wall first and then connect the charger plug to the charging port of the battery.
- Let the battery sit undisturbed (at room temperature) till fully charged.
- Once fully charged, connect it to the bike and test the bike operations.
