Are Biktrix bikes rust-proof?

Our bikes are built with 6061T2 Aluminum - this is the same material used to build most high-end bikes and aircraft panels. The Aluminum itself is rust-proof, however, all bikes, such as ours, use steel chain and drive-train components that are prone to deterioration if not oiled and maintained regularly. They must be cleaned and maintained to avoid rust, just like you would on any regular bike.
