Introduction
Are you looking to remove, or reinstall the Top-Tube on your Swap-Top eBike frame? Follow these instructions for a guide on how to do so!
You will need the following tools to do this:
5mm Allen Key
You might want a second 5mm Allen Key if struggling with one bolt!
Step 1
Remove the two bolts closest to the steerer tube/stem/handlebars on the top-tube with a 5mm Allen Key
Remove the bolt closest to the Saddle/Seat-post with a 5mm Allen Key. This is a threaded Nut / Bolt combination so you will need to hold one side steady while removing the other side!
Remove all of the hardware and move to the next step!
Step 2
Lift upwards on the top tube, nearby where the first two bolts you removed were.
With the slight lift upwards, pull the toptube away from the hinge and seattube. This will get the toptube away from the bike!
Store the top-tube and other hardware in a safe place! To reinstall the top-tube, simply reverse the steps for removal, taking care to not cross-thread any hardware upon installation.
