Introduction

Follow this guide if you need to tighten up, or reinstall the Juggernaut XD FS Chain Tensioner Sprocket Assembly.

You will need the following tools to do this:

  • Phillips Screwdriver

  • 6mm Allen Key

  • Flathead Screwdriver

  • Hammer

Watch the following video for instructions on doing this. Alternatively scroll through the written guide below!

Step 1

  • Move to the "Motor Drive Side" of your XD FS eBike

  • Goto the Tensioner Sprocket located on the lower pivot bolt and closest to the motor.

  • Remove the bolts outlined in the second picture with a Phillips Screwdriver and 6mm Allen Key

  • Gently rotate the chain guide to allow access to the tensioner sprocket

Step 2

  • Remove the spacers and other hardware in front of the sprocket.

  • Slide the sprocket off of the spindle. Note that to do this you may need to push up on the tensioner to create additional slack in the chain.

Step 3

  • Take the sprocket aside.

  • Unthread the lockring by hand. Check the threads on the sprocket and lockring to ensure they are clean and undamaged.

  • Reinstall the lockring on the sprocket. Get it started loosely by hand, then further tighten with a flathead screwdriver and a hammer

Step 4

  • You can now reinstall the sprocket onto the bike. Ensure the black face - not the lockring - is facing outwards when you do so!

  • Reinstall the spacers and bearing covers you removed during the installation process.

  • Reinstall the remaining bolts and chain guide. For the large aluminum bolt please torque this to 28Nm/20ft-lbs if you have a torque wrench to do so!
