Introduction
If your BTX Moto is showing "Error 001" you may need to load a new firmware onto it! Follow these steps to do so
You will need the following:
BTX Moto Bluetooth Programming Dongle
BTX Moto eMotorcycle and keys for battery removal
An Android or Apple Smartphone/tablet with Bluetooth capabilities
The Fardriver app for your above device to perform this programming
The .heb programming file below
Follow the instructions below to get your BTX Moto re-programmed!
Step 1
Remove the battery from your BTX Moto
In the compartment where the battery would sit locate the unused 4-pin female connector, pictured here. Plug the programming dongle into this and let the dongle sit outside like so to allow for battery re-installation.
Fully re-install and plug the battery back into your BTX Moto
Step 2
Grab the device you want to use for reprogramming, and download the ".heb" file from this guide onto it - it's attached to this step here as well!
Use the key to turn the BTX Moto's power ON
Make sure you have downloaded the Fardriver App on your smartphone or tablet. Open the application.
Follow along with the steps on the video alongside here to push the firmware update to the BTX Moto and enter the "Self Learning" mode on the bike. Leave the app open on this screen and advance to the next step!
